Reflections on Caste and Subcaste:

Caste (varna) and subcaste (jati) are not meant to behave unrighteously or badly to each other. They are meant to behave with respect to the skill and wisdom of members of the society. Some are rulers or workers, others priests or traders, else defenders or scholars. But all are humans and form one group of consumers. Many are gardeners, weavers, water and food carriers, and even father or mother, which is a daily unpaid vocation. I would not mind, if virtuous functions and wise righteous jobs in society were grouped or classified in four, but equally as guilds, with local guildhalls and wise guildmasters and guildbosses to preserve and enhance the wisdom and skill. E.g. gardenersguild, weaversguild, priestsguild and rulersguild. Apprentice, fellow, master, doctor/ boss. 

Even rulers are not born into their subcast (they think they are born into the cast or subcast, but not for the other groups in the Heavens); even they have to earn the respect by virtuous behaviour.
If any of the (sub)castes is healthy, mobile and employed, they can and should in those conditions contibute to society. If they are ill, imprisoned or unemployed, they can and should not contribute in those conditions to society. 

Only if the trusted and blessed make possible with wise righteous decisions and virtuous behaviour, the ill, imprisoned and unemployed will experience conditions in which they become healthy, wise and skilled. Social-economic justice.

Giving good gifts as:
. employment to their skill and wisdom,
. right housing, 
. just cloth, 
. good health care, 
. right food,
will make them contributers to society. The fifth varna is a result of serious and intentional failing of the trusted and blessed to better the society. All four castes (varnas) and subcastes (jatis) fail to this social - and recently constitutional - improvement.

Brahmin, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras are all Harijan; children of God, Brahman. Co-operation knows neither caste nor subcaste. Terms like aprushyas or dalits, and even panchamas emphasize that governmental policy fails; factual and intentional.
