A natural cubit was used for measuring cloth.

There is no right cubit, exept yours (middle finger to elbow) and your own fathom (spread horizontal arms, middle finger to middle finger).

The span is your spread hand (thumb- to little fingertip).

Even a God of Oil would be more committed to stop oil spill than Tony Hayward, the BP chief executive officer (since 2007).
